Who provides the Toyota Wi-Fi system?
The implementation of a mobile internet connection to modern vehicles has not only been well-received by customers, but technological advancement has also broken the levy on other development that has made its way to Toyota vehicles. The automaker certainly hasn’t started building its own wireless network. So, who provides the Toyota Wi-Fi system? Colonial Toyota customers have been able to connect Wi-Fi-enabled devices to a safe and secure connection since the 2018 model year. In the beginning, this capability was provided by Verizon. Toyota has begun working with AT&T for most 2020 models. Let’s take a look at some other information that could prove to be useful to future buyers.
Which 2020 Toyota vehicles offer a mobile internet connection?
As the new 2020 model year really starts to hit its stride, almost every new vehicle platform to arrive at the Colonial Toyota showroom will be available with either the Verizon or AT&T Wi-Fi connection. Each Toyota vehicle with the Wi-Fi hotspot will be able to connect up to five devices.
Toyota SUVs that offer this capability include the 2020 models of the 4Runner, RAV4 and C-HR. Customers can also choose among all of the automaker’s sedans to get the Wi-Fi hotspot including the 2020 versions of the Avalon, Camry and Corolla. The 2020 Toyota Sienna also offers this capability. Both Toyota truck models, the Tacoma and Tundra, as well as the Prius and Prius Prime, will be equipped with either wireless internet connection.

How much does it cost?
The cost to the vehicle owner to access the mobile hotspot capability will depend on a few factors. Customers who are interested in using it will want to discuss the data bucket with either a Verizon or AT&T representative. Additionally, if a vehicle owner already has cell service with either company, it may be possible to bundle the phone and internet packages together. However, buyers of most 2020 Toyota vehicles with Wi-Fi will be eligible with a two-gigabyte, three-month trial data bucket.
