2019 Toyota Camry vs. 2019 Volkswagen Passat

The Toyota Camry is one of the models that has helped propel the automaker to the top of the automotive industry. Customers have made the midsize sedan the most popular model in its class for more than 15 years. Colonial Toyota has been home to the current model of the Camry for a while but that hasn’t stopped the rest of the industry from trying to knock it off its perch. A comparison of the 2019 Toyota Camry vs. 2019 Volkswagen Passat shows that the recently redesigned Toyota sedan should have little problem holding on to its position. There are a few similarities between the 2019 models of the Camry and Passat, but the Toyota sedan offers more than a few advantages potential buyers should consider. Technology integration is one of the most important factors to automotive buyers, regardless of which segment piques their interest. Every one of the five trims that are available with the 2019 Toyota Camry will rank among the most advanced vehicles in the segment. The Toyota infotainment system is compatible with the Apple CarPlay™ suite of applications. This will make almost all of the platform's most popular apps available to be used while on the road. While the 2019 Volkswagen Passat offers similar capability, it does come up short in one regard. Toyota has also built in a way for drivers to use their Amazon Alexa on their commute. Additionally, Toyota has added an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot to the 2019 Camry. Up to five devices can be connected to the mobile internet connection. VW Passat owners also don’t have this option.
