2019 Toyota Sienna vs. 2019 Honda Odyssey

There is still a large number of Colonial Toyota product experts who love the Toyota Sienna. Minivans might not be as popular or have as high a profile as they once did, but nobody can deny this platform is still the best, most efficient way to move large numbers of people and/or cargo. A comparison of the 2019 Toyota Sienna vs. 2019 Honda Odyssey will show potential buyers why they should be heading to the Colonial Toyota showroom. The 2019 Sienna continues to exhibit very clear advantages over the 2019 Honda Odyssey, especially in the key areas of overall performance, interior cargo volume and available technology. Toyota has made a huge investment in improving connectivity with most of the 2019 models that are currently for sale or lease at the Colonial Toyota showroom. Each trim grade in our showroom will be compatible with some of the most popular digital devices owners already probably own. The Toyota infotainment system can work with most iPhones and run the Apple CarPlay™ suite of applications and expand the capability of the Amazon Alexa digital home assistant. By easily pairing a 2019 Sienna to an Alexa, you’ll be able to send directions to the vehicle from the living room or turn on a home’s interior lights, if they’re connected to the system. The 2019 Odyssey offers similar capabilities, but buyers need to choose higher trims. Honda systems don’t work with Alexa, however.

Performance Specs

The heart of the 2019 Toyota Sienna lies under its hood. Owners will have little trouble getting the 2019 Sienna up to speed thanks to its standard naturally aspirated 3.5-liter, V-6 engine. It is attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission and the powertrain will produce 296 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, the 2019 Sienna remains the only minivan still in production that can be outfitted with all-wheel-drive. Not only will this give drivers extra peace of mind when the road gets slippery, but it will also help the 2019 Sienna tow up to 3,500 pounds. Conversely, the 2019 Honda Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine of its own that uses a nine-speed automatic transmission. However, it doesn’t make as much power, topping out at 280 horsepower. Finally, only the highest Odyssey trims can match the standard towing capacity of the 2019 Sienna.
