Very disappointed in my most recent service provided by Colonial Toyota Milford. I went in for an oil change and they gave me the ins and outs on what my car needed. Long time employee Lenny Pue, was my service advisor, he mentioned the special on tires. I told him I did not want to spend $1000 on tires for a car I did not plan on having much longer and I can get them for cheaper not to mention 0% APR. A few days later, "Luis" the tire specialist reached out and asked me why I did not want to buy tires from them. I explained to them that the three quotes they gave me were upwards of $1000 and told him the same thing I told Lenny. Luis then told me, the best he could do for me was $771, for everything tax included. At this point, I had already looked up Town Fair Tire and it was the same amount the only difference was, Colonial has fast track so they pick up your car and leave a loaner so I didn't have to wait there or be without a car. They also do 0% finance if you qualify which I did. So of course I took Colonial up on the offer. The day comes, while they are doing the job, Lenny calls me and asks me if I want an alignment on the tires. I'm thinking this is a trick question bc with Town Fair Tire an alignment was included in the price. So I say, well do most people get that? Am I supposed too? I'm thinking this is included why is Lenny calling and asking me this. No mention of additional cost, if there was mention of that, I would have immediately contacted Luis. Later on the evening, I get the invoice and low and behold it was $945. So the way Luis was able to get the price under $1000 was by taking the alignment off. According to Lenny an alignment was necessary but according to Luis it was not. Either way, I was scammed by the two of them. I sent Luis the price of what my tires would cost at town fair including an alignment and tax, he never responded. That was bad for business that they needed to scam me out of $174. They must be hurting for business!
