Colonial Toyota customers interested in the 2020 Camry will have a pair of engine options to choose from. The base powertrain is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that is attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will make 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque on most trim grades. A 2020 Camry XSE uses a differently tuned version of this engine that will make 206 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. Buyers can also choose to have several models equipped with a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine that also employs the same eight-speed gear-changer. The 2020 Kia Optima can be equipped with one of three four-cylinder engines. Kia’s first two available engines don’t make as much power as the entry-level power plant on the Camry. The top Optima engine doesn’t make as much power as the V-6 platform Toyota uses.
